How to sign up and get started with Unstuck Engine

Learn how to create your account, set up your ICP and persona, connect LinkedIn, and activate your first signals to start capturing high-intent leads.

Signing up for Unstuck Engine takes just minutes. Once you create your account, our platform analyzes your website and automatically generates a personalized Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and buyer persona tailored to your business. You'll then connect LinkedIn to enrich your targeting data and configure your first signal to start collecting data immediately.

How to sign up for Unstuck Engine

Step 1: Create your account

  1. Navigate to the Unstuck Engine signup page.

  2. Enter your Email and Company Website in the provided fields.

  3. Click Get Your Invite.

After submitting, you'll be redirected to your invite page. Unstuck Engine will also send a copy of your invitation link to your inbox.

Note: Unstuck Engine immediately begins analyzing your website to create your ICP and personalized buyer persona.


Step 2: Claim your invitation

  1. Open the invitation link sent to your email.

  2. Enter your First name, Last name, Email, and Password.

  3. Click Sign up.

You'll be taken to the onboarding welcome screen.


Step 3: Review the onboarding checklist

Once logged in, you'll see a checklist on the left side of your screen with four key steps:

  • Set up your ICP & Persona – Review your ready-made ICP or build your own in minutes.

  • Connect LinkedIn – Link your account to enrich your ICP with real company data.

  • Turn on your first Signal – Enable your first signal to start collecting intent data.

  • Invite your team – Start collaborating with your team.

On the right side of the screen, you'll see a confirmation that Unstuck Engine has analyzed your website and prepared your ICP and persona.

Click Start in 1 Minute to begin setup, or select Set up manually later if you prefer to explore the platform first.


How to set up your ICP and persona

Step 1: Review your Ideal Contact Profile

Unstuck Engine automatically generates an ICP based on your website analysis. You'll see:

  • Ideal Contact Profile name – The name of your generated ICP (e.g., "Enterprise Biotech & Pharma Companies").

  • Code – A unique identifier for the ICP (e.g., "BIOPH").

  • Status – Shows whether the ICP is in Draft or Active status.

  • Personas – The number of personas associated with this ICP.

  • Updated – The date the ICP was last modified.

You can click the eye icon to preview the ICP details, or click the pencil icon to edit it.

To create your own ICP from scratch, click + Add own ICP in the top-right corner.


Step 2: Review or customize your persona

Below your ICP, you'll see a Your Persona section showing the persona associated with your ICP:

  • Persona name – The job title or role (e.g., "HR & People Operations Leaders").

  • Code – A unique identifier for the persona (e.g., "HROPS").

  • Status – Shows whether the persona is in Draft or Active status.

  • ICPs – The ICP(s) this persona is linked to.

  • Updated – The date the persona was last modified.

Click the eye icon to view the persona, or click the pencil icon to refine it.

To create a new persona, click + Add own Persona in the top-right corner.

Tip: You can refine any persona to enhance targeting precision by editing job titles, seniority levels, functions, and other criteria.


Step 3: Add or customize your ICP

If you choose to add or edit an ICP, you'll see a modal where you can configure:

  • Headcount Range – Filter companies by employee count (e.g., 201-500, 501-1000).

  • Country of Headquarter – Select target countries and assign a score weight.

  • Description Keywords – Define keywords from company descriptions (e.g., "R&D, clinical trials, drug development") and assign a score weight.

  • Latest Funding Round Type – Filter by funding stage (e.g., Series B, Series C, Private Equity) and assign a score weight.

  • 20+ other parameters

You can add multiple criteria by clicking + Add Include, or exclude certain companies by selecting Exclude and clicking + Add Exclude.

Once you've configured your ICP, click Save ICP.


Step 4: Add or customize your persona

If you choose to add or edit a persona, you'll see a modal where you can configure:

  • Title – The name of your persona (e.g., "HR & People Operations Leaders").

  • Persona Code – A unique identifier (cannot be changed once created).

  • Headline – Keywords from LinkedIn headlines (e.g., "employee experience, workplace wellness, HR") with a score weight.

  • Job Title – Specific job titles to target (e.g., "Chief People Officer, CHRO, VP Human Resources").

  • Seniority Level – Filter by seniority (e.g., Director, VP, CXO).

  • Function – Select job functions to target.

  • 10+ other parameters

You can add multiple criteria by clicking + Add Include, or exclude certain personas by selecting Exclude.

Once you've configured your persona, click Save Persona.


Step 5: Continue to the next step

After reviewing or customizing your ICP and persona, click Continue at the bottom-right of the screen.

Alternatively, select Set up manually later to skip this step for now.


How to connect your LinkedIn account

Step 1: Install the Chrome extension

On the Connect LinkedIn screen, you'll see instructions to install the Unstuck Engine Chrome Extension from the Google Chrome Web store.

  1. Click Connect LinkedIn to begin.

  2. Follow the prompts to install the extension if you haven't already.

Note: Connecting LinkedIn allows Unstuck Engine to enrich your ICP with real company data and capture engagement signals from LinkedIn activity.


Step 2: Connect your LinkedIn profile

Once the extension is installed, you'll be prompted to connect your LinkedIn profile.

  1. Click Connect LinkedIn again in the main screen.

  2. The extension will open and guide you through the connection process.

After successfully connecting, you'll see a confirmation message: LinkedIn Connected, along with your LinkedIn profile name.

Tip: Choose to set up LinkedIn connection later if you wish to skip this step. You can connect LinkedIn at any time from your account settings.


Step 3: Proceed to signal activation

After connecting LinkedIn, click Next to advance to the next onboarding step.


How to turn on your first signal

Step 1: Review available signals

On the Turn on your first Signal screen, you'll see a list of pre-configured signals ready to use. Each signal includes:

  • Signal name – A description of the signal (e.g., "Extract ICP from LinkedIn post link from likers").

  • Status – Shows whether the signal is "Ready to use".

  • Category – The type of signal (e.g., "LinkedIn Engagement").

  • Intent – The intent level captured (e.g., "2nd-party intent").

  • Configure button – Click to set up the signal.

Tip: Signals allow you to monitor specific LinkedIn activities (post likes, comments, keyword mentions, competitor engagement, etc.) and automatically match them to your ICP.


Step 2: Configure a signal

  1. Select a signal from the list by clicking Configure.

  2. A Set up workflow modal will appear where you can configure required inputs.

You can either click Get all Records to capture all matching activity, or click Customize to refine the signal further.

  1. Click Run to activate the signal.

Important: Once activated, the signal will start collecting intent data based on your configuration. You can view captured leads in the Records section.


Step 3: View collected records

After activating signals, navigate to the Records section in the left sidebar. You'll see:

  • Full Name – The name of the lead captured by the signal.

  • ICP Code – The ICP the lead matches.

  • ICP Score – The lead's fit score for your ICP.

  • Persona Code – The persona the lead matches.

  • Personas Score – The lead's fit score for your persona.

  • Signals – The number of signals captured for this lead.

  • Engagement Score – The lead's overall engagement level.

  • Source – Where the signal was captured (e.g., LinkedIn).

  • Company – The lead's company name.

You can filter records by ICP Code, Source, and Signal Date using the dropdown filters at the top of the table.

Note: Your data is loading. If you've launched workflows recently, please refresh shortly to see new records.


How to invite your team

Step 1: Navigate to the invite screen

After configuring your first signal, you'll be prompted to Invite your team.

  1. Enter the Email address of a colleague in the provided field.

  2. Click Send invite.

Alternatively, click Invite later to skip this step and invite team members at a later time.


Step 2: Join the Slack community

After completing onboarding, you'll see a welcome message inviting you to join the Unstuck Engine Slack community.

The message reads: You're All Set — Welcome Aboard!

"Join our exclusive Slack community to connect with other founders and GTM experts, get insider tips, share feedback, and stay ahead with the latest strategies and product updates."

You can click Join the Community to join, or select Maybe Later to skip.

Tip: Join the Slack community to connect with other users and get support from the Unstuck Engine team.


FAQs

Can I edit or add more ICP or persona after onboarding?

Yes. You can add and edit your ICP and persona at any time from the ICPs & Personas section in the left sidebar.

What happens if I skip LinkedIn connection during onboarding?

You can connect LinkedIn later from your account settings. However, connecting LinkedIn enriches your ICP data and enables engagement signal capture, so we recommend connecting as soon as possible.

How long does it take for signals to start collecting data?

Once activated, signals begin collecting data immediately based on your schedule settings (e.g., daily). Depending on your configuration, you may see initial records within 24 hours.

Can I create multiple ICPs and personas?

Yes. You can create multiple ICPs and personas to target different market segments or buyer roles. Click + Add own ICP or + Add own Persona from the setup screen.

How do I invite more team members after onboarding?

Navigate to your account settings and select the Team or Invite option to send additional invitations.
